This is the company notice for SOME GOOD NEWS LTD. App-specific notices will be published on this site before those products collect data.
Who we are
SOME GOOD NEWS LTD (“we”, “us”) is a company incorporated in England and Wales on 28 August 2026. We are based in the United Kingdom and have Ukrainian roots. We build subscription and utility apps for Android, Apple, and the web.
For this website and for our apps, we are the data controller unless a specific app notice says otherwise.

What this notice covers
This is the company privacy policy. It covers somegoodnews.tech, including the contact form, and it sets the standard we will use for our apps.
When an app launches, it will have its own notice on this site and in the store listing before we collect anything beyond what this website already needs.
This website
If you only browse the site, we collect the technical data any host needs to serve a page: IP address, browser type, and basic request logs. We use this to keep the site up, to debug faults, and to prevent abuse.
If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we collect your name, email address, and whatever you choose to tell us. We use that correspondence to reply, and we keep it only as long as the conversation requires.
We do not sell website analytics to anyone. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
Our apps, when they ship
Our apps will be subscription and utility products on Android, Apple, and the web. Before an app collects personal data, its own notice will say what we collect, why, and who processes it.
In general we expect to process: account details you give us; in-app content you create; subscription and purchase status from Apple or Google; and limited diagnostics so the product can be fixed.
We will ask for connected accounts, contacts, or location only where the product cannot work without them, and only with a clear in-app explanation.
Lawful bases
We process personal data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Depending on the activity, our lawful basis will be: contract (to provide an account or a paid subscription); legitimate interests (to secure the service and reply to genuine enquiries); consent (where we ask for it, for example optional analytics or marketing email); or legal obligation.
You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
International transfers
We are based in the United Kingdom. Some processors may store data outside the UK. Where that happens we will use an approved transfer mechanism, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep data
Website logs are kept for a short operational period.
Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months, unless a longer period is needed for a live matter.
App account data will be kept while the account is open, then deleted or irreversibly anonymised within a stated period after closure — that period will appear in the app notice.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to receive data you provided to us in a portable format. Those rights are not absolute; we will explain if an exemption applies.
Write to service@somegoodnews.tech. We will respond within one month.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would rather hear from you first.
Children
This website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect children’s data through this website. If an app is designed for use by or with children, that app will have its own notice before it launches.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change. The date at the top is the latest version. Last updated 28 August 2026.
